Mastering Diabetes

I was talking with Robby Barbaro, MPH @mindfuldiabeticrobby and Dr. Cyrus Khambatta @mangomannutrition this morning. We were laughing about the fact that I have patients and employees loving their book and seeing real changes. The funny part being that they wouldn’t listen to me or my book but are now listening to these rockstars.

I tell diabetic patients they should be eating fruit, beans, starches, and low fat and they look at me in shock. “That is completely opposite of what I have always been told!” I then explain, “if you do what you have always done you will get what you always got.” After all, these patients are seeing me because they are still suffering from diabetes and obesity. Following the same paradigm is definition of insanity.

I have eaten with Robby and Cyrus, who both have Type I diabetes. I have seen how they have achieved perfect insulin sensitivity and how their bodies tolerate high carbs with very low insulin requirements. It works.

We are doing this. We are opening up the minds of thousands of people living with diabetes. People from all over the world are learning that fruit actually reverses insulin resistance when consumed in a low-fat environment.

My DMs are off the hook right now. Keep them coming. If you want to learn the science behind the metabolic benefits of fruit, please DM me. I’ll send you a video. It’s all in our book too. Just google “insulin resistance diet – what to eat and why” … the science is clear.

Covid-19 Questions Answered

I am sooooo tired of talking about vaccines, but seeing we have a pandemic that is actually getting worse and tons of misinformation, I wanted to do bullet point rebuttals to misinformation since everything else I have posted seems too long.

World Vegan Day

Bet you didn’t know it is World Vegan Day! Being vegan isn’t easy. The world has changed a lot but it still is difficult to constantly wonder whether I will be able find appropriate food when going out. But I don’t mind the sacrifices.
